Rotten wooden window frames are extremely common in older homes.

Hey everyone, I live in an old house, and I’ve noticed that my wooden window frames are starting to look a bit worn out. There’s some visible rot, especially near the bottom of the frames. I’m wondering if this is something I should be worried about? And how can I go about fixing it? I know it might be a common issue with older homes, but I’m not sure where to start with repairs. Anyone here dealt with rotten wooden window frames?

Another thing I’d recommend is checking the condition of your window seals. Sometimes, the rot can be caused by small leaks that go unnoticed over time, allowing moisture to seep in and slowly deteriorate the wood.
